Deutsche Bank first established a presence in China in 1872 with the opening of an office in Shanghai. On 1 January 2008, Deutsche Bank (China) Co., Ltd. (“DB China”) was officially incorporated in the PRC as a wholly-owned foreign-funded subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG. Headquartered in Beijing, Deutsche Bank China now operates branches and sub-branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin and Chongqing with over 500 employees.
